Sept 2006 Update

We have been busy the past few months and haven't had time to blog. Our team has grown the past 4 months - and we will make a formal announcement about the new team members on our website. (www.expressplanner.com). Since we're near the top when you google "Free Event Registration" - we've been getting quite more event planners using the portal. We are allways asked if we plan on remaining free - and the answer is allways the same. ExpressPlanner is a totally free service. There is no "Professional Version" - every event planner gets the same version. We are turning on our new live support system this month - we've been testing it for a few months and it's working out great. I will try to update this blog as much as I can - you can allways get updates via our website or if you register to use expressplanner. Check back soon!

March Update - moving towards ajax

It's official - we are in the planning stages of making the portal look and feel like a windows application (compared to a web application.) complete with context menus, drop down navigation, etc. We will be using ajax. Our goal is to make the ExpressPlanner Suite feel like a software suite you installed on your desktop! We will be following the navigation guidelines that Microsoft products use. I.E. File | Help | Etc. We will be keeping the old look and feel of the portal for those who are used to using the "web-portal" GUI. Send me an email or post a comment if you have any questions.

ExpressPlanner now accepts merchant account payments

ExpressPlanner Update Feb 2006 We are just finishing up new functionality that allows it's users to use their own gateway and merchant account to process registration payments. Currently paypal is the only option for collection registration. Next week we will be releasing ExpressPlanner 2.2 - we've been working on usability the past few months and the new look user interface better uses the screen real estate. Based on user feedback - we've also been working on our reporting infrastructure. Quite a few new charts and reports have been created based on requests from our users. Our user base has grown drastically since Nov 2005 and we are bringing on more support resources to answer your questions. Remember - email support is free - feel free to ask your questions anytime. If we arn't too busy we'll even call you back! Check back to see screen shots of the new user interface! Thanks for your support, John Mark Suhy VP Technology PureThink LLC 703.862.7780 jmsuhy at ex

ExpressPlanner Updates

It's been a while since our last blog posting. Things have gotten busier and we are currently working on technology partnerships that will offer more value to our users. We've been working with a great team that has been helping us shape our next release as well. We would also like to thank the beta users who've given us extremely valuable feedback. 2006 is going to bring a lot of useful technology to ExpressPlanner - keep checking the blog or our site for new news and information on upcoming enhancements!

New Features - More Users - And Allways Free

The ExpressPlanner development team has been working hard on the next release of the portal. We are in the process of updating the online tour as well. Our users have been giving us valuable feedback and it's helped us make ExpressPlanner easier to use and more powerful. We've added several new features including advanced registration notification options. Now you can choose which questions in your questionnaire and attendee forms capture emails, which can be used for auto-responses. We've also added the ability to duplicate surveys and registration systems. Our resource directory is now more focused on quality providers for event planners as well. Our user base has been growing steadily for the past few months - and so has the feedback and support requests - so we are setting up a new help / customer support system which should be ready this month. Our development team has been doing a great job - so we are taking them to Belize next week to show our appreciation and do so

Update - May 2005

This is just an update. Our development team is hard at work on version 2.1 which has many new features including a remote admin console for event planners. I put up some updated flash demos on the "Tour" area of the expressplanner.com website. Also - we still have some exciting news for our users which we hope to release soon!
